Chetumal, Q.R. — Authorities in Chetumal are investigating after two bodies were found dumped on city property. One body was dumped on Bahía Boulevard and another near the zoo.

A man with his hands tied was found Thursday morning on Bahía Boulevard in the state capital. According to initial reports, the body was found around 8 a.m., leading to the arrival of Municipal Police, National Guard and personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office.
Reports of a shooting lead Chetumal authorities to the discovery of a second body near the same time. An armed attack was reported near the Payo Obispo Zoo on Florencia Street. There, police found a deceased male with four gunshot wounds.
According to initial reports, the victim was chased and subsequently executed in the area where he was found. Police have not identified either of the deceased.
