Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — Candidates for the upcoming position of Mayor of Puerto Aventuras have been approved. Luis Herrera Quiam, the General Secretary of the City Council and President of the Operating Commission of the Neighborhood Assembly for the Election, announced the candidates Thursday.
After completing the respective registration, the candidates for the upcoming position received certificates to run for Mayor. The group of running candidates will be promoting their campaigns from December 5 to 11.
The three candidates running to fill the position include Graciela Isabel Moreno, representative of the Blanca slate, Damaris del Carmen Ortega, for the Café Oscuro slate and Gilberto Gómez, for the Dorada slate.
Voting in Puerto Aventuras for a new mayor will take place on December 15. Between 2,000 and 3,000 people are expected to vote in the December 15 poll for their new mayor.
According to the Electoral Institute of Quintana Roo (Ieqroo), on election day, voting will take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
