Cancun, Q.R. — Luis David “N” and Alejandro “N” have been captured in the shooting death of a woman and her 10 year old son. The pair were arrested separately less than 24 hours after killing the woman and young boy inside their vehicle Christmas Day.
Police say the intended target was the woman’s partner. He is known to Cancun police and currently has outstanding warrants from November of 2024 for aggravated homicide and attempted homicide.
According to Cancun Police, Luis David “N”, alias “Colas” and/or “TR” and Alejandro “N”, alias “El Chamuco” are facing double homicide charges after chasing the woman through Cancun streets and gunning down her and her son at a city intersection.
The shooting happened on the evening of December 25 at the intersection of 20 de noviembre and Chac Mool avenues. Emergency services arrived to find two dead bodies in the car’s front seats.
According to Cancun Police, “the firearm seized from Luis David “N” matches the one that took the lives of the two victims.”
Cancun police said Luis David “N”, alias “Colas” and/or “TR”, was arrested in SM 95 by elements of the FGE, Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, Secretariat of the Navy, Secretariat of National Defense, National Guard and Secretariat of Citizen Security of the State.
“At the time of his arrest, the suspect was carrying a firearm, which matches the one that took the lives of the two victims. A magazine with 9 mm caliber live cartridges, as well as doses of suspected narcotics,” they said.
“Separately, authorities arrested Alejandro “N,” alias “El Chamuco,” who also participated in the double homicide that occurred at the intersection of 20 de noviembre and Chac Mool avenues in the municipality of Benito Juárez.
“According to initial investigations, the attack was directed at the victim’s partner because he decided to separate from the criminal group led by Luis David “N”, dedicated to drug dealing in Supermanzana 259, as well as fraud and sale of land in irregular colonies in this municipality, however, by mistake, the victims shot were his relatives.”
Police in Cancun said that the deceased’s partner has an arrest warrant for the crimes of aggravated homicide and attempted homicide that occurred on November 1, 2024.
