Cancun, Q.R. — Police in Cancun say three men believe related to “at least” five city homicides have been arrested. On Thursday, authorities announced the arrests of Erick Irán “N”, Jesús Daniel “N” and Owen Daniel “N” by Secretariat of Citizen police.
According to their statement, Erick Irán “N”; Jesús Daniel “N”, alias “Suncho”, and Owen Daniel “N”, alias “Chisquiado” were arrested on drug charges, however, initial investigation have linked them to city murders, one of which happened earlier this week.
“The first investigations by the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office relate those arrested with the homicide of a male person which occurred on the afternoon of September 16 of this year in the ATM area of a bank branch located on Xel Há Avenue, in Supermanzana 28.
“On the day of the events, Owen Daniel “N” was apparently driving a motorcycle and Erick Irán “N” was riding in the back from where he shot at the victim who apparently was mistaken for a member of an opposing criminal group.

“The investigations that are being carried out also link the detainees to other homicides, including that of a man and a woman whose bodies were found in a sascabera located in the Rancho Viejo area.
“In addition, two men were also killed, who were buried in the yard of a house in Supermanzana 76 in the municipality of Benito Juárez,” Cancun police said in their statement.
During their arrests, police located two loaded firearms, both of which were seized along with a vehicle.
