Chetumal, Q.R. — One woman was killed and four others injured in a horrific car accident in the state capital city of Chetumal Thursday after an impaired driver lost control, overturning several times.
The accident occurred on Calzada del Centenario of Chetumal when the driver of a black car lost control and overturned several times before crashing into a tree. One woman was killed and four others from inside the vehicle were injured in the accident that left the car completely destroyed.
First media reports claimed the intoxicated driver of the vehicle was a member of Policía Estatal based out of Cancun, however, that has since been clarified that he was the passenger and counted as one of the injured.
The deceased has been identified as Brianda R. The unidentified driver of the car, who was also injured, has been arrested.
