Cancun, Q.R. — Investigative Police in Cancun arrested three men on narcotics and firearm offences that are now facing murder charges. On Friday, authorities said that due to their continued investigation into recent events, the three men were located and taken into custody.
Since their arrests, Cancun Police have identified them as being part of a drug dealing criminal cell. According to police, the cell is led by a male who goes by the alias “Skini”.
The three they have in custody have been identified as involved in three separate murders, all of which took place in Cancun between May and June of this year. Daniel “N”, Pablo Fernando “N” and José de Jesús “N” are facing possible charges for a May 28 murder in SM 232, a May 31 murder in SM 233 and the June 28 murder of a man in SM 220.
“As a result of investigations into the latest events in the municipality, the State Attorney General’s Office reports the arrest of three males belonging to the criminal cell led by alias “Skini” for their possible participation in events that could constitute the crime of drug dealing.
“Those arrested by elements of the Investigative Police are Daniel “N”, Pablo Fernando “N” and José de Jesús “N”, who were carrying various doses of green and dry grass with the characteristics of marijuana, as well as a firearm and a loaded magazine.

“Initial investigations link these individuals to the separate murders of three men: the first occurred on May 28 of this year at a soccer field in Supermanzana 232, the second on May 31 at the victim’s home in Supermanzana 233 and the last on June 28 in Supermanzana 220,” state authorities reported in a statement.
Cancun Police have also said all three have been linked to the two murders that took place at Cancun Hotel Zone beaches this year. One of those was the accidental shooting death of a 12-year-old boy by a stray bullet during a targeted attack on another male at the same beach.
The latest murder was the October 2 targeted shooting of another male near the same beach area of the Cancun Hotel Zone.
“It should be noted that those now captured are alleged members of a criminal cell led by alias “Skini”, involved in various violent incidents in Cancun, including those that occurred on Kululcán Boulevard,” Cancun officials reported.
