Mahahual, Q.R. — A head-on collision between two vehicles outside the town of Mahahual left both drivers with injuries. Police were called to the scene Wednesday night where a taxi and SUV collided.
Witnesses reported seeing one of the involved vehicles invade the opposite lane of the other vehicle. The crash at highway speed left both vehicles wrecked.
Paramedics from the Fire Department Medical Unit responded, providing pre-hospital care to the injured drivers.
First responders assessed the victims at the scene, stabilizing them before transporting to hospital.
Traffic was slowed since the crash ended with the vehicle blocking one highway lane. There was no official word on exactly who caused the late night crash.
