Chetumal, Q.R. — Authorities in Chetumal have suspended Walmart’s Boedga Aurrera after they were found in noncompliance with the current mandatory sanitary measures.
Inspectors from the Federal Commission for the Prevention of Sanitary Risks (Cofepris) suspended the store on Insurgentes Avenue in Chetumal after a citizen complaint. Inspectors reacted to the complaint, visiting the location and finding the company failed to comply with the sanitary provisions for disinfecting their facilities.
Cofepris inspectors say the store failed to present the monthly certification of disinfection. They noted that the store has been open since the beginning of the epidemic. That location is temporarily closed while Walmart ensures compliance with the mandatory sanitary provisions.
