Bacalar, Q.R. — The body of a Chetumal taxi driver has been found in the municipality of Bacalar. The Suchaa of Chetumal driver was found inside the trunk of his own unit.
Police were lead to the scene after highway motorists reported seeing the abandoned taxi. It was found near the town of Lázaro Cárdenas in the municipality of Bacalar early Thursday morning.
The driver has only been identified by his initials J.M.V. and a go-by name for his work with the Sindicato Único de Choferes de Automóviles de Alquiler (Suchaa), the taxi driver’s union of Chetumal. Additional details were not provided by municipal authorities.
