Body found in Chetumal identified as missing 21-year-old male

Chetumal, Q.R. — The body of a 21-year-old male who has been missing since April 30 has been identified. His body was identified May 10 after being found May 9 in the irregular settlement of Mario Villanueva in Chetumal.

An early morning walker made the discovery Tuesday behind the Social Reintegration Center (Cereso) of Chetumal. The body was found tape-wrapped in a black plastic bag and left up against a fence.

He has since been positively identified as the 21-year-old Juan “O” who went missing April 30 from the Payo Obispo residential area of Chetumal.

According to information obtained, the youth was forcefully removed from his home on the evening of April 30 by a group of armed people dressed in tactical gear. The FGE had him listed as a missing person.
