Chetumal, Q.R. — The bagged remains of a body found in Chetumal Sunday have been identified. The body is that of a 21-year-old with an active missing persons report.
The body of Carlos “F” was located Sunday in the Plutarco Elías neighborhood of Chetumal. He had been reported as missing since June 24. According to information obtained, Carlos “F” and a friend went missing while at a party near the town of Calderitas.
The second man was found alive eight days later. The body of Carlos “F” was found around 3:00 a.m. Sunday by area residents. Police have not commented on a motive for the kidnapping and subsequent murder.
