AVASA to offer car rental services out of Tulum International

Tulum, Q.R. — Grupo AVASA has said they will be operating car rental services out of the up-and-coming Tulum International Airport. Marco Antonio Adueza Martinez, the General Director of Arrendadora de Vehiculos Automotores Sociedad Anónima (AVASA), said they will have a car rental presence at the Tulum airport.

Adueza Martinez says the company represents popular car rental options including Hertz, Dollar, Thrifty and Firefly. They are currently operating in more than 50 airports around Mexico and will be adding Tulum to their long list.

He says their company currently has 25 percent of the car rental market in Mexico. Adueza Martinez was on hand at the opening of their latest Hertz branch which is in the new Grand Outlet Riviera Maya plaza on the outskirts of Cancun.

He says AVASA meets the tourism demand generated around the country, adding that the Quintana Roo region is very important since it represents 28 percent of their cmpany operation.

It is also the reason they have headquartered their company in Cancun where growth has been very positive. The General Director said that the four brands they represent cover all tourism profiles, which allows them to meet any market requirement and that being in Tulum will bring service closer to the customer.

In the meantime, he reported that details are being refined but they are part of the business profile for the Tulum International Airport that is expected to become operational in December.
