Mahahual, Q.R. — The father of a minor taken into protective custody was arrested after becoming abusive with authorities. The minor was removed from his home and transferred to hospital after police received a report of malnutrition.
Police in Mahahual received the report of a child suffering from malnutrition from the UCUM base. They located the little boy at the home on Camarón Street in the Arrecifes neighborhood. According to authorities, the boy requires specialized care.
The boy was transferred to the Chetumal General Hospital so he could receive medical attention. “Elements of the SSC Rural Police, the National Guard, Secretary of National Defense and the Secretary of the Navy participated in the operation,” the SSC of Quintana Roo reported.
At the General Hospital of Chetumal was 45-year-old Carlos “N”, identified as the father of the minor. While being interviewed by police, “he maintained an evasive and violent attitude for which he was arrested for the crime of disobedience.”
