Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — A local man believed involved in the disappearance of an Isla Mujeres girl has become the main suspect. On Monday, the Attorney General released a photo and information on Marcos Antonio Cauich Adrián.
He is a Cancun taxi driver who lives in Isla Mujeres mainland. It was his home where the 12-year-old went to work to wash dishes on July 21. She never returned. On Monday, the FGE released a bulletin that included a one million peso reward “for information that leads to the location of the probable participant in the crime” of her disappearance.
FGE head, Óscar Montes de Oca, says the reward is for reliable information leading to the location of Marcos Antonio Cauich Adrián, a probable participant in her disappearance.
He says to date, eight field searches involving the army, navy, police and National Guard have been carried out, but there has been no trace of the Isla Mujeres girl.
