Chetumal, Q.R. — Chetumal firemen are treating a late night house fire that left two injured as arson. A woman and six-month-old baby were taken to hospital Saturday night after, according to the woman, two Molotov cocktails were thrown at her home.
The fire happened on Caracolillo Street late Saturday. The 30 year old mother said men she did not know arrived and tossed the Molotov cocktails at her house before running off.
Police arrived at the scene first, finding the house fully engulfed in flames. Firemen were able to put out the fire without it spreading to other homes. Paramedics transferred the mother and baby to hospital.
An investigation has been started.
