Chetumal, Q.R. — A 23-year-old Chetumal man was kidnapped at gunpoint from outside his home Tuesday evening. Residents watched in horror as the youth was forced into a waiting vehicle and driven away.
The kidnapping happened in the residential area of Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez of Chetumal around 7:00 p.m. Residents reported at least two armed men intercepted the man as he tried to walk inside his home.
He is reported to have been screaming for help as he was force into another vehicle and driven away from Calle Córcega. Police arrived and began a search, but have not reported finding the young man or locating any of his captors.
