Cancun, Q.R. — The body of another male drowning victim has been recovered from a Cancun beach. On Thursday, forensic medical personnel were called to Chac Mool for the recovery of a washed up body.
The body was reported by area residents around 7:00 a.m. after it was seen floating just off shore in the Cancun Hotel Zone.
Civil Protection rescuers were charged with recovering the body from the water. The unnamed victim reportedly went swimming the night before. He was swept out to sea by strong currents and drowned.
On Tuesday, the bodies of two others were also recovered from Cancun Hotel Zone beach areas after they went swimming and were swept out to sea. One of the bodies was located late Monday night. The second body was found Tuesday morning less than 500 meters from where they entered the water.
