Cancun, Q.R. — Another LP gas explosion has been recorded in a residential home in the city of Cancun. The Thursday night explosion left a house completely gutted with major structural damage, but no human injuries.
Cancun firemen responded to the emergency situation in the Vista Real subdivision. The explosion was the result of an accumulation of gas. The force of the explosion blew out all the home’s windows and part of its structure.
Firefighters, municipal police and Civil Protection inspectors were on scene with city officials assessing damage. Preliminary information reports the house is beyond repair and likely be demolished.
Earlier this month, two people were rushed to hospital with serious burns after an LP gas tank explosion in a Cancun home. A leaking tank was responsible for the explosion.
