Baja California, Mexico — Authorities in Baja California seized a shipment of narcotics valued at more than $14 million USD. The shipment was located after authorities were tipped off by an anonymous caller.
The drugs were found in the back of a truck. Authorites have said that the shipment contained fentanyl, heroin and methamphetamines with a street value of $14.7 million USD.
The anonymous call was made after, according to their report, residents in the area witnessed heavily armed men loading and unloading merchandise from the vehicle.
Those loading the truck were at the scene when authorities arrived, but managed to escape. In the back of the truck were drug packages hidden in tetra fruit juices in 158 cardboard boxes. Seized was 58.3 kilos of methamphetamine, 19,000 fentanyl pills, two kilos of heroin and nine kilos of cocaine.
