AMLO touring states to verify Maya Train progress

Riviera Maya, Q.R. — President Andrés Manuel López Obrador is making a tour of five of the states where the Maya Train will pass. AMLO is visiting the states this weekend to verify progress.

López Obrador made the announcement Friday morning during his press conference stating that his visit is for the sole purpose of verifying work and that no public events are scheduled.

“We are going to have very little time because I will start a supervisory tour of Chiapas, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatán and Quintana Roo, the entire route of the Maya Train during this weekend.”

“We are going to verify the progress of this important project,” he stressed without giving details on when he would be arriving in each of the individual states. His last tour of the project was in July when he reviewed the southeast.

He eventually landed at the Chetumal International Airport where he traveled by helicopter to Tulum for a flyover to review land being purchased for the upcoming Tulum International Airport.
