AMLO reports inflation rate drop to 7.80 for November

Mexico City, Mexico — President Andrés Manuel López Obrador stressed that Mexico will conclude 2022 with good economic results including the downward trend in inflation.

On Friday, López Obrador reported that the Government of Mexico is working for the benefit of the people to reverse the rise in product prices, especially those related to foods.

“We have to take care of this because this is a risk that inflation gets out of control, we have to take care of it. It is the only thing that concerns us in economic matters,” he said.

During his morning press conference, he also reported that in November, annual headline inflation stood at 7.80 percent, lower than the 8.41 percent reported for October, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).
