Tulum, Q.R. — After a weekend visit by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, he says two major projects will be inaugurated in December. On Saturday, López Obrador paid a quick visit to the region, flying over Maya Train sections and touring the nearly complete Tulum Airport.
López Obrador made his progress tours in the company of Governor Mara Lezama Espinos. After touring, López Obrador reported that the Campeche-Cancún section of Maya Train will still be inaugurated on December 15.
However, the Tulum airport will be inaugurated first on December 1 as planned.
Both President López Obrador and Governor Mara Lezama toured the facilities of the Tulum International Airport, confirming December 1 opeartions.
Likewise, they carried out overflights over sections 4 and 5 of the Maya Train and held meetings to evaluate the infrastructure projects of Cancun and the Jaguar Park of Tulum.
Completion statistics were not provided for the toured Maya Train sections or the Tulum Airport.
