Air Canada announces it will increase flights into Quintana Roo during 2025

Riviera Maya, Q.R. — Air Canada says it will increase direct flights into Quintana Roo this year. The airline says an increase of flights from 53 to 60 will be made during 2025.

The announcement came Thursday during the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) in Madrid.  The airline also said it will resume seasonal routes from Montreal to Cozumel, reinforcing connectivity to the island.

In a note, Governor Mara Lezama said “it was announced that Air Canada will increase the number of flights to Cancun from 53 to 60 in 2025 and will strengthen connectivity to Cozumel, strengthening the air connectivity of this region and reinforcing the tourism leadership of the Mexican Caribbean.

“We continue to work on the New Era of Tourism to attract more visitors to our destinations and open more opportunities for development and growth for Quintana Roo,” she said.

“With Air Canada, people can travel to Cancun, Cozumel and Tulum. All the people of Canada can come and enjoy themselves,” Lezama added.

Lezama recalled that Air Canada was the first to operate flights to the Tulum International Airport from Canada.
