Tulum, Q.R. — Aeroméxico is the third national airline to confirm routes for the up-and-coming Tulum International Airport. News of their new flight came on the same day as Viva Aerobús announced the five routes they will offer.
In a statement, Aeroméxico says they will begin operating flights from the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) to the Tulum International Airport as of December 1, 2023.
The airline will begin with two flights per day. They have said that passengers interested in buying tickets for the Mexico City-Tulum route will be able to do so “in coming days.”
“We arrived in Tulum! We are happy to announce this new route that from December 1, will allow you to connect directly from AICM to this destination and the south of the Riviera Maya with two daily flights. The route will be available for sale in the coming days,” Aeroméxico announced.
Their statement adds that with the addition of the Tulum route, Aeromexico will offer of 221,000 seats per month to Quintana Roo.
To date, Mexicana de Aviación, Viva Aerobús and Aeroméxico have all announced routes into the under-construction Tulum Airport.
