Mexico City, Mexico — The Ministry of Health reports 31 of Mexico’s 32 states are in the green for the upcoming week. The state of Quintana Roo is one of those states, in its third week of a green epidemiological light for the Cancun, Riviera Maya region.
The Ministry of Health reports that the only state not in green is Baja California, who they say, will continue with an orange epidemiological light according to the evaluation of the Guidelines for the Estimation of Traffic Light Risks by COVID-19 Regions.
The Daily Technical Communiqué of the Ministry of Health reports that as part of the National Vaccination Strategy, more than 75.3 million people have been vaccinated of which 84 percent have a complete scheme, and 16 percent with at least one dose.
Epidemiological week 43 reports a 22 percent decrease in the number of estimated COVID-19 cases compared to the previous week. In the last 14 days, 22,874 people across the country have had signs and symptoms, the Ministry said.
