Cancun, Q.R. — An 18-year-old youth was detained by Cancun police officers at the exact moment he emerged from a hole he had made in the wall of an appliance store. He was laden with stolen merchandise.
The arrest of the young man happened Wednesday morning in region 259 after the owner called police. The owner of the appliance store made the call after his motion detector alarm went off inside the store.
The business owner, along with police, arrived at the scene. They quickly noticed the gaping hole made in the wall in the back of the shop. While standing there, the young man emerged, loaded with stolen merchandise.
Unable to flee, police arrested 18-year-old Edgardo N, who was transferred to Public Security facilities to face charges of theft.
