Young woman found involved in Cancun shooting that left seven dead

Cancun, Q.R. — A young woman will remain behind bars after a judge found her linked to the crime of homicide that claimed the lives of seven in a January house shooting in Cancun.

The young woman, who has been identified only as Juliet N, will remain in preventative detention after La Fiscalía General del Estado (the State Prosecutor’s Office) found her to be involved in the January shooting deaths.

Juliet N is being held for her probable participation for the crime of aggravated homicide against seven people in SM 219 of Cancun on January 20. After a debate between prosecutors and defense, the judge determined she has sufficient evidence to continue the process and set a three-month deadline for the investigation to be closed.

The shooting took place between a group after the alleged assailants left the home after an argument but threatened to return for retaliation, which resulted in a shooting that left seven dead and two injured.
