Cancun, Q.R. — Elements from the Cancun fire department rescued a small spider monkey that was reported walking around city streets. On Wednesday evening, residents in SM 74 reported the sighting of the small mammal in a diaper walking city streets.
Firemen were sent to the residential area to retrieve the monkey, who had been captured by neighbors. The young spider monkey was transferred to the fireman’s station before being handed over to the Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection (Profepa).
