Cancun, Q.R. — A bad driving maneuver caused a car to slam into a palm tree at kilometre 13 of Kukulcán Boulevard in the Cancun Hotel Zone. Although there were no injuries, the accident did generate a long mid-day traffic jam.
The driver, 32-year-old Pamela N, lost control of her white Kia on Kukulcán Boulevard, causing it to crash head-on into a palm tree. The car sustained heavy damage.
Fortunately, the driver was not injured. Tránsito police arrived to review the accident and order the removal of the vehicle via a tow truck. During the review and tow truck wait, a long line of traffic began to build due to the noon accident.
