Cancun, Q.R. — A woman who was shot to death while outside her Cancun home Saturday, has been identified as a local Cuban singer. On Saturday afternoon, neighbors reported the broad daylight shooting to authorities.
An ambulance was sent to the home in the Haciendas Real del Caribe subdivision in Cancun where the victim, an adult female, was found dead in her yard. The deceased has been identified as Dayami L, a Cuban national who performed as a singer in Cancun bars.
The FGE has begun a homicide investigation. Witnesses reported two men on a motorcycle arriving at the home where they took aim, shooting at the woman numerous times before fleeing.
At least five shots were heard by area residents in the targeted attack.
