Cancun, Q.R. — The woman shot in the head Tuesday evening at a Cancun seafood restaurant remains serious. The woman, identified as 28-year-old Jazmin N, was eight months pregnant when she was shot in the head by assailants.
Paramedics rushed her to hospital where her baby was delivered by emergency C-section. The child is also listed in serious condition. The woman continues to be connected to an artificial respirator.
The woman was one of three shot Tuesday evening while dining at a Cancun eatery. Employees of the seafood establishment told officers that two men approached the table before opening fire.
They began shooting at all three seated patrons. The man killed on site has been identified as 31-year-old Jonathan N. Reports say he was shot six times. He was found laying on the floor of the restaurant when paramedics arrived.
Also injured in the shooting was 32-year-old Azael N. He received at least one bullet wound to his right leg. He was stabilized at the scene before being transferred to hospital. All three were from the State of Puebla.
Authorities have not made any public comment on the shooting. A possible motive is not known.
