Cancun, Q.R. — A woman that was hit by a portable water truck in Cancun has died. The unidentified woman was struck by the large truck in SM 242 while crossing the street.
Family members who saw what happened reported the accident to 911 from the La Loma area of Cancun. While they waited for emergency personnel to respond, the driver abandoned his truck and fled the scene.
Paramedics arrived around 3:00 p.m. but were unable to help the woman. She was found laying on the road with multiple injuries and reportedly located without vital signs.
