Cancun, Q.R. — Police of Quintana Roo arrested a man for committing an administrative offense that quickly turned into a drug bust.
Officers patrolling Cancun’s Bonampak Avenue observed a male urinating in public, which is an administrative offense. Municipal Police of Benito Juárez proceeded to perform an inspection of his person which is when they discovered several sachets of drugs.
Police report that upon review, the man was found carrying six bags of marijuana and nine bags of crack. Instead of being arrested for urinating in public, he was taken into police custody on drug possession charges.
Arrested was 27-year-old Osiris N of Veracruz. He was placed at the disposal of the corresponding ministerial authority.
