Cancun, Q.R. — Two units in an apartment building of Cancun caught fire Thursday. Building residents in SM 249 called for help since flames spread quickly. By the time firemen arrived, flames had spread to a second unit on the same floor.
The fire was reported to have started around 10:00 p.m. in Residencial Turquesa. Cancun firemen were able to extinguish both apartments within 30 minutes, but not before they suffered extensive damage. An estimate on those damages was not provided. There was no official word on what caused the fire.
