Two rushed to Cancun hospital after bus t-bones car

Cancun, Q.R. — UPDATED: A young driver was rushed to Cancun hospital Wednesday after her car was t-boned by a bus. The two vehicle accident happened on Chac Mool Avenue around 2:00 p.m.

According to available information, the young female driver lost control of her car on a curve and was hit by the bus as she approached the junction of Huayacán Avenue.

She is alleged to have crossed into the opposite lane. Her car was t-boned by a bus travelling in the opposite direction. The car was completely crushed inward after being hit on the driver’s side.

Cancun firemen were called in to help free the driver of the car. Betyana Yamila “D”, the Argentinian driver of the car, and Miguel Ángel “A”, the 37-year-old driver of the bus, were rushed to different Cancun hospitals.

Traffic was interrupted for more than an hour due to the severity of the two vehicle crash.

UPDATE: The young woman who was the driver of the black car that was t-boned by a bus has died. She was rushed to a Cancun hospital Wednesday afternoon and is reported to have died in hospital Wednesday night after undergoing emergency surgery due to injuries sustained in the accident.
