Cancun, Q.R. — Two police officers and one city cab driver were taken to hospital after a two vehicle crash in Cancun. A patrol unit from the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) crashed into a taxi leaving three people injured.
The crash happened on Las Torres Avenue where the two vehicles met, causing the police truck to slam into a building.
Witnesses claim the driver of the police truck ran a stop sign. The police truck was allegedly in pursuit at the time of the collision with the taxi driver.

The crash resulted in serious injuries to two police officers and the taxi driver. The front of both vehicles were heavily damaged as was a concrete wall of a building where the police unit came to a stop.
Authorities have not commented publicly on the incident.
