Cancun, Q.R. — UPDATED: The Quintana Roo State Attorney General’s Office has begun an investigation into the kidnapping of two men from their Cancun home Tuesday. The FGE says two men, said to be brothers, were forcefully removed from their home in SM 232 around noon by three masked men.
The two men were forced into a waiting red car and taken to an an unknown destination. The FGE reports they, in collaboration with the National Guard and the State and Municipal Public Security, continue to track and locate the whereabouts of the two men.
Their kidnapping was captured on home surveillance cameras. The two men were taken at gunpoint after one of them breaks the lock on the metal entrance gate and enters the home. The kidnappers were wearing tactical uniforms and bulletproof vests.
Police continue their search for the two men and their three kidnappers.
UPDATE: One of the two men removed from their Cancun home was found September 12. The body of one of the men was discovered dismembered just off Guayacán Avenue. The body was discovered in plastic bags. The identity of the victim has been confirmed by Forensic Medical Service.
