Cancun, Q.R. — Three vehicles, including a transport van belonging to the Andrés Quintana Roo Taxi Union, collided in the Cancun Hotel Zone leaving at least two people injured.
Reports say the taxi van crashed into the rear-end of a Fonatur work truck, which in turn, caused a crash with a third vehicle.
The accident happened at Kilometer 3.5 of Kukulcán Boulevard at around 6:30 p.m., causing a great deal of Monday evening traffic chaos.
Firefighters and ambulances arrived to assist two people who were injured, including the taxi van driver who was found pinned inside his unit behind the steering wheel. Three tow trucks were also called to the scene to remove the damaged vehicles and unclog the busy roadway.
