Cancun, Q.R. — Two children have died after their house caught fire late Sunday. Cancun firemen responded to the late night call made by neighbors in the Paseos Kabah subdivision. Neighbors called Emergency 911 after seeing flames erupt from the home.
Upon their arrival, Cancun firemen reported two minors trapped inside the home. One child, a 6-year-old girl, died inside the house. Her death was confirmed by paramedics who found her without vital signs.
The second child, a 4-year-old girl, was rushed to hospital with extensive burns but died Monday from her injuries.
Reports say the girls’ parents were out when the fire began. Details of the fire, including an official cause, have not been released.
