Cancún, Q.R. — One of two Cancun taxi drivers shot Monday morning has died in hospital. Two members of the Andrés Quintana Roo Taxi Workers Union were shot while inside their vehicle at the intersection of the Nichupté and Tulum Avenues.
The two were fired upon by two others who quickly fled the area. The driver of the taxi was shot in the back while his passenger was shot several times in the head. Both men were rushed to hospital, however, the passenger died.
There were no arrests at the scene.
