Cancun, Q.R. — Two people inside a car that overturned early Monday morning in the Cancun Hotel Zone died. The two men were killed after being crushed by their vehicle.
The male driver was allegedly speeding along Kukulcán Boulevard toward downtown Cancun when he flipped the compact car. The car hit a city light pole and palm tree before finally come to a rest on its roof.
Emergency services located the car off to the side of the road near Playa Delfines. Both men inside were pronounced at the scene. They are reported to have been local Cancun Hotel Zone workers leaving a shift.
