Cancun, Q.R. — Two men and one woman have been arrested in Cancun for the kidnapping and murder of a local resident. According to the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), Celia “A” , José “P” and Manasés “C” were picked up on outstanding arrest warrants for the December kidnapping and murder.
The agency reported that the three are believed responsible for the December 2022 kidnapping and murder of Gerardo “R”, who was reported missing in Cancun earlier that same month.
“The victim’s body was found in a state of putrefaction and with bullet holes on a dirt road in the Chiapaneca neighborhood on December 28, 2022,” they agency clarified.
Celia “A”, José “P” and Manasés “C” were arrested at a residence in Superblock 249 of Cancun where arresting officers also located narcotics and a loaded firearm. The FGE did not provide a possible motive into the kidnapping and subsequent murder.
