Cancun, Q.R. — The driver of a bus has been pegged as allegedly responsible for a three vehicle accident in Cancun. Witnesses claimed the bus driver ran a red light, colliding with a public transport van that then hit a private car.
The accident was reported shortly after 8:00 a.m. along Luis Donaldo Colosio Boulevard. The driver of the bus is accused of running the light and crashing into the side of a transport van that then hit a car that was traveling west.
Cancun Transit located the three damaged vehicles on the Boulevard, which forced a temporary closure. Traffic was heavily backed up while motorists waited for police to clear the accident scene. City security cameras will confirm the red light allegations. There were no serious injuries reported.
