Three vehicle crash creates bottleneck for Cancun drivers

Cancun, Q.R. — A three vehicle crash in Cancun sent one driver to hospital Tuesday afternoon. Transit officers and Cancun firemen arrived to a scattered metal mess in SM 224 from where the three vehicles collided.

According to the Transit report, one of the involved vehicles swerved into the oncoming lane colliding with a car that then caused an SUV to overturn. Authorities had their hands full dealing with the crash that happened along Cancun’s busy Chacmool Avenue.

The Cancun fire department were requested to assist in the removal of a trapped driver from inside the overturned SUV. It was that driver who was transferred to hospital by ambulance. The extent of their injuries is not known.

Transit directed bottlenecked traffic for more than an hour while the three crumpled vehicles were removed from the city street and the mess cleared.
