Cancun, Q.R. — Elements of the Quintana Roo Police report the arrest of three young people under the age of 22 on deprivation of liberty charges.
It was during a routine surveillance tour in SM 218 of Cancun that police report receiving a call of illegal deprivation of liberty inside a school. Upon arrival, they met with the victim who said that upon leaving the educational facility, a red Ford Focus stopped where two men and one female descended, forcing them into the unit, threatening them with a knife.
The victim said that was when they began screaming for help, which caught the attention of a security guard who ran over to help. Upon seeing the approaching guard, the trio fled, threatening to return. After receiving these facts, police implemented a search and location operation in the area, managing to locate the vehicle mere meters from the school.
La Policía Quintana Roo stopped and inspected the vehicle matching the victim’s description and located the knife. Police report the arrest of 19-year-old Juan Manuel N, 21-year-old Olaf and 18-year-old Laura Kristel N.
