Cancun, Q.R. — A targeted attack against Cancun taxis left one driver dead and two others wounded. The 2:00 a.m. attack happened Thursday outside an establishment along López Portillo Avenue where drivers typically wait for customers.
Authorities report that three taxi drivers were injured by gunfire, one of which was hit in the jaw and chest, one in the back and the third, who was also hit and died at the scene. The two injured were rushed to hospital.
Police began a search operation for the shooters, but were not successful in locating them.
