Cancun, Q.R. — Three elements of la Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional (Sedena) were shot in Region 236 of Cancun with one dying on scene.
The three were shot unarmed after leaving work. According to witnesses, two unknown subjects on a motorcycle opened fire on the three young military man who were standing in the doorway of their home. The shooting happened at 8:55 p.m.
The city’s Red Code was activated with police combing the area for suspects, however, no arrests were announced.
The injured were transferred to the General Hospital of Cancun in serious condition. They have been identified as 19-year-old Luis Antonio S.N.and 20-year-old Ángel Gabriel S.H. The deceased has been identified as 21-year-old Manuel M.G.
