Cancun, Q.R. — Three men who robbed a man at gunpoint as he left a Cancun bank have been taken into police custody.
Quintana Roo Police of Benito Juárez identified the detainees as Yair N and Moisés N, both 29 and Jorge N, 45. The three robbed a man of his cash as he left a bank ATM in SM 50 of Cancun earlier this week.
Preventive officers patrolling La Luna Avenue saw a man requesting help around noon. When they stopped, he told him that he had just been robbed. According to police information, the victim said he had withdrawn money from a Banamex bank branch. Upon getting into his car, three subjects threatened him with a gun, stripping him of his cash before fleeing.
The victim was able to describe his attackers to police who immediately began a search for the men. Officers were successful in locating and arresting them. They were found in possession of the stolen cash.
