Cancun, Q.R. — Three men who allegedly participated in a shooting against two Cancun women have been arrested. The three men are believed responsible for the shooting of a mother and daughter in the Paseos del Mar subdivision in SM 251 earlier this week.
The two women were hit with bullets and taken to hospital, while the men responsible, fled. Police indicated that they heard via radio the report of two women who had been shot and received the description of the men and vehicle in which they fled.
Police launched a search and located the parked red Volkswagen car in Region 221. Inside were the three subjects who coincided with the physical descriptions provided from the scene.
Elements of the Municipal Police reported the arrest of 22-year-old Alexis N, 27-year-old Miguel N and 30-year-old Esteban N, who they say, apparantly made the attack after the women, who were owners of a food vendor business, refused to pay floor rights.
The detainees remain in custody, while the two women remain hospitalized.
