Swerving driver demolishes two Cancun vehicles

Cancun, Q.R. — A parked truck was left nearly destroyed Friday morning after being hit from behind by a passing car. The driver of the car collided with the parked truck Friday in SM 525 of Cancun, also leaving her car in ruins.

The owner of the parked cargo truck called police.

The owner of the vehicle came out to find his truck had been pushed into a concrete CFE pole. Police were sent to La Luna Avenue in the Santa Fe residential area in response to the report.

There they located a badly damaged cargo truck and Kia car partially embedded under its rear. According to early information, the female driver of the car lost control as she was passing through the neighborhood.

Her car swerved and landed in the back of the cargo truck, pushing it into a concrete pole. The bed of the truck was also damaged. Paramedics were requested to assist with the driver of the car, however, she did not sustain any major injuries and was not taken to hospital.

The driver, a 35 year old woman from Valladolid was arrested at the scene for allegedly driving while intoxicated.
